The Glosaid Nursery School Project
We are in the process of creating our own nursery school: Glosaid will be totally running it and finding the teachers and the money to keep
it going.
We are starting with a small compound (building) with only 2 classrooms. The compound will accommodate 35 children between the ages of 4
and 5.
So far the classrooms are furnished.
The verranda surrounding the building will be used to help the children learn other skills. There will be a section to express their talent
with painting and drawing, another section to experement with water, building blocks and sand games.
Most of these children have never been out of their village.
The large piece of ground attached will be used as a playground with climbing frames, a dolls’ house, slide, and swings. All these things
can seem quite normal to children in Europe but these children have never seen anthing like this ever before. It will be a great adventure for them.
One of the ways we are generating the money to support this project is by organising fund raising events.
We also hope to gain more funds from personal and company donations.
